Cultivation Technician

This position reports directly to the Cultivation Manager/Team Lead of Cultivation to ensure the production of the highest quality plants available. Follows established policies and procedures as necessary to perform job duties and tasks. Supports techniques and practices in all areas of cultivation of cannabis including propagation, transplanting, pruning, irrigation, fertilization, cleaning and sanitation, pest management, and disease detection, and management. Maintains the integrity of cultivation areas and supports the cultivation of the best quality medical cannabis.

CORE JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Keep accurate records of all production activities

· Facility Operations: Support facility operations as a member of the cultivation team needed to produce high quality cannabis.

· Production: Support and perform cultivation operations, including harvest, trim, cure, sanitation and finishing processes, ensuring that production timelines follow established production plans.

· Assure/ learn correct levels of Nutrients and manage feedings.

· Assist/ learn in cloning and germination of new plants.

· Maintain good horticulture practices as well as good handling practices. And follow GMP,GPP standards.

· Ensure compliance with company standards for cost control, waste reduction, quality, and safety.

· All other duties assigned.

JOB SKILLS AND REQUIREMENTS

· Understanding and knowledge of the cultivation of plants.

· Knowledge of maintaining and renewing mother plants.

· Knowledge of working with hydroponic and water pH and EC, as well as mixing nutrients / fertilizers.

· Knowledge in cloning and germination of new plants

· Experience with good horticultural practices as well as good handling practices.

· Ability to work in a fast-paced, changing, and challenging environment.

· Knowledge of working with nutrient deficiencies and how to identify the deficiency.

· Learn crop pests including how to identify and how to treat the problem.

· Focuses simultaneously on short- and long-term goals; ability to identify problems quickly.

· Ensure compliance with company standards for cost control, waste reduction, quality, and safety.

· Must possess excellent communication skills for communicating with peers, Cultivation Manager/Team Lead of Cultivation

· Strong attention to detail, organizational skills and time management abilities.

· Highly capable of multi-tasking, with minimal supervision.

Must have reliable transportation

· The chosen applicant will be required to successfully complete background and reference checks.
