AcuFast is seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Accounting Clerk to join our Saskatoon office in a permanent, full-time position replacing a retiring employee. This role will focus primarily on accounts payable processing, providing an excellent opportunity to contribute to a progressive company while building your accounting career. This position will include the following responsibilities and day-to-day functions, but is not limited to:

  • Process and enter invoices for payment, match invoices with purchase orders, and check for accuracy.
  • Code, enter, verify, and reconcile account payable transactions.
  • Analyze/interpret data and take appropriate action.
  • Investigate and resolve customer and vendor queries professionally and promptly.
  • Use Excel functions (e.g., pivot tables, VLOOKUPs, filters, formula auditing) to analyze financial data and ensure accuracy.
  • Compile and generate reports for management and internal stakeholders.
  • Support the year-end audit process and perform variance analysis.
  • Perform other accounting tasks as assigned.

The successful candidate would ideally possess the following experience and qualifications:

  • 1+ years of experience in accounting.
  • Knowledge of the agriculture industry would be considered an asset.
  • Microsoft Excel skills are a must.
  • Experience with accounting programs such as Great Plains would be considered an asset.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • High level of accuracy, efficiency and attention to details.
  • Can successfully work independently and cross-functionally in an autonomous work environment.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Shares in AcuFast's core values.
