The Opportunity
As Director of Talent Acquisition, you'll play a pivotal role in shaping Petal's next chapter of growth.
This is a strategic and hands-on leadership opportunity to build, elevate, and scale our talent engine: one that attracts, engages, and hires exceptional people who will power our mission.
You'll lead a small team of experienced recruiters and work closely with executives and department leaders to design a world-class recruitment function that blends data-driven excellence with authentic storytelling.
Key Responsibilities
Lead and Inspire

Champion a culture of high performance by setting the bar high for talent across the organization by inspiring recruiters and hiring leaders to think boldly about what great looks like in every role.

Provide strategic direction, mentorship, and development opportunities to a growing team of recruiters.

Foster a culture of teamwork, accountability, and excellence within the Talent team.
Scale the Talent Engine

Shape and adapt agile hiring strategies that keep pace with Petal's rapid growth, shifting priorities, and evolving business landscape.

Strengthen and modernize existing processes to enhance speed, quality, and scalability while maintaining an exceptional candidate experience.

Leverage AI, automation, and data analytics to optimize sourcing, funnel management, and predictive hiring insights.

Monitor emerging talent trends, market shifts, and evolving skillsets to guide hiring priorities and ensure Petal remains competitive in a rapidly changing landscape.

Collaborate with HR and business leaders to connect short-term hiring priorities with long-term workforce needs, laying the foundation for proactive planning.

Continuously improve Petal's recruitment tech stack, ensuring systems and workflows enable data-driven insights.

Build targeted, proactive pipelines for high-impact roles, ensuring readiness for growth and transformation.
Amplify Petal's Employer Brand

Define and evolve Petal's employer brand positioning to reflect our story as a mission-driven, high-growth Canadian company transforming healthcare at scale.

Lead the development of a clear and authentic Employee Value Proposition that articulates what makes Petal a uniquely rewarding place to grow and make an impact.

Partner with Marketing, Communications, and HR to bring the EVP to life through compelling messaging, storytelling, and creative campaigns across all touchpoints: from job postings to social media and onboarding.

Build consistent brand experiences throughout the candidate journey that showcase Petal's ambition, collaboration, and purpose-driven innovation.

Use data and feedback to measure brand perception and candidate engagement, continuously evolving strategies to strengthen Petal's position as an employer of choice in Canadian health tech.
