Job Summary

We are seeking a reliable and physically capable Winter Labourer/Shoveler to assist with snow removal and related outdoor tasks during the winter season. This role is essential for maintaining safe and accessible pathways, and work areas during inclement weather conditions. The position offers an opportunity to work outdoors in a dynamic environment, contributing to the safety and efficiency of our operations.

Duties

  • Clear snow and ice from walkways, parking lots, and other designated areas using shovels, snow blowers.
  • Apply salt or de-icing materials to prevent ice buildup.
  • Perform routine maintenance on snow removal equipment to ensure proper functioning.
  • Collaborate with team members to complete snow removal tasks efficiently and safely.
  • Report any hazards or equipment issues to supervisors promptly.

Requirements

  • Ability to work outdoors in cold weather conditions for extended periods.
  • Physical strength and stamina to shovel snow and perform manual labor tasks.
  • Prior experience with snow removal equipment is a plus but not required; training will be provided.
  • Ability to work independently or as part of a team with minimal supervision.
  • Reliable transportation to and from the work site is preferred.
  • Must be punctual, dependable, and committed to safety standards during winter operations.

Job Type: Seasonal

Contract length: 4 months

Pay: $20.00-$23.00 per hour
