Application Requirements:
Day-to-day duties will include:

- Daily check of service truck to ensure proper tools and supplies are readily available.
- Assist with loading, unloading projects.
- Setup and removal of ground cover and site protections for re-roofing projects.
- Removal of waste and cleanup of the work area.
- Loading of tools and materials to the work area.
- Installing materials as directed and requisite with the individuals skills and training
- Reviewing site conditions daily, participate in a meeting with team members to discuss safety and daily production
- Daily tracking of materials and supplies used to be reported to the Site Supervisor
- Participate in regular meetings with management with respect to safety, production, performance and professional development

Qualifications, Skills, Responsibilities and Abilities
- Experience as a construction labourer is an asset but not required.
- Ability to work at heights
- Follow safety rules
- Team player
- Must be coachable, trainable, and able to take direction from Site Foreman and other members of the crew in order to get natal roofs using various materials and tools
- Working at Heights, WHMIS and H&SA for workers certifications
- Take pride in work and be able to own a job or task through to completion
- Detail oriented and an ability to see a task through to completion is the cornerstone of an excellent tradesperson in the roofing industry
- Education
- Shop courses or any certifications in the construction industry would be a benefit but not a requirement at the point of hire.

Working Hours:

- Working hours will vary starting as early as 6:00 am weather permitting, Monday - Friday
- Occasionally you will be scheduled to work on Saturdays or Sundays
- You are expected to be available as needed on inclement weather days to perform site repairs, fabricate metal flashing, and to perform general shop/yard cleanup
- Lay-offs due to cold weather generally occur on or about December 1 each year, although the is typically part-time work throughout the winter installing on new builds and clearing ice and snow from flat and sloped roofs.

Compensation and Benefits:
Starting pay is $20 per hour for entry level for applicants starting the apprenticeship program or experienced installers are paid based on skill level and experience. A comprehensive benefit package is provided after three months of employment.
