Overview
The Resort Operations Manager oversees the daily operations of the resort's rental program, ensuring excellence across all departments including front desk, housekeeping, maintenance, and guest services. This hands-on leadership role is responsible for driving operational performance, fostering a positive team culture, and delivering outstanding guest and owner experiences.
Acting as a key liaison between resort ownership, the strata, and the on-site team, the Operations Manager ensures clear communication, operational consistency, and alignment with the resort's standards and goals. The ideal candidate brings strong leadership skills, financial acumen, and a passion for hospitality, with the ability to balance strategic oversight and day-to-day operational involvement.
Responsibilities:
- Oversee all aspects of the rental program operations, including front desk, housekeeping, maintenance, and guest services.
- Recruit and train team members, ensuring they have the skills and knowledge to perform their roles effectively.
- Lead, motivate, and develop the team, providing guidance, coaching, and support to foster high performance, engagement, and professional growth.
- Foster a positive work culture, promoting collaboration, accountability, and a supportive environment across all departments.
- Manage relationships with rental home pool owners and strata ensuring clear communication and resolution of any operational or facility concerns.
- Strong skills in cost management and expense control, with the ability to monitor budgets, optimize resources, and ensure operational efficiency
- Ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements, resort policies, and health & safety standards.
- Develop and implement strategies to enhance guest satisfaction and operational efficiency.
- Lead innovation projects, implementing new processes, identifying opportunities to enhance guest experiences, operational efficiency, and overall service excellence service opportunities.
- Provide hands-on leadership, including coverage at the front desk, housekeeping and maintenance, as needed, to ensure smooth daily operations and team support.
Requirements
- Proven experience in hotel management, preferably in a strata or multi-owner property environment.
- Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Solid understanding of budgeting, financial reporting, and operational planning.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and adapt in a fast-paced environment.
- Knowledge of hospitality software and systems is an asset.
Wage: $65,000-$70,000 per annum
Job Type: Permanent
Schedule: Full Time including weekends, holidays and on call as needed
