Role Summary

The
Senior Site Superintendent / Foreman
serves as the senior on-site authority, responsible for directing daily field operations, coordinating trades, enforcing sequencing, and maintaining strict standards for safety, quality, and productivity on commercial construction projects. This role requires the ability to manage complexity, anticipate issues before they arise, and maintain full control of execution regardless of project size.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assume full responsibility for daily on-site execution of complex commercial construction projects
  • Lead, coordinate, and manage subcontractors and site labor across multiple trades and construction phases
  • Enforce proper construction sequencing across all disciplines, including:
  • Structural and non-structural framing
  • Electrical, plumbing, HVAC, fire protection, and life-safety systems
  • Drywall, ceilings, millwork, specialty assemblies, and architectural finishes
  • Identify workmanship issues early and ensure timely corrective action
  • Proactively anticipate trade conflicts, access limitations, and sequencing challenges before they affect schedule
  • Plan and manage site logistics, access, staging areas, and material flow efficiently
  • Order materials, track lead times, and coordinate deliveries to align with construction sequencing
  • Oversee multiple projects concurrently, adjusting priorities based on scope, complexity, and schedule
  • Maintain clean, organized, and professional job sites at all times
  • Enforce site safety procedures and PPE compliance without exception
  • Support inspections and ensure work complies with drawings, specifications, and applicable codes
  • Communicate clearly and consistently with project management regarding progress, risks, and site requirements

Qualifications

  • 15+ years of experience strictly in commercial construction
  • Previous experience as a Foreman, Lead Foreman, Senior Site Supervisor, or Superintendent
  • Proven ability to manage projects of varying sizes with high technical and coordination demands
  • Strong understanding of commercial construction sequencing and multi-trade coordination
  • Demonstrated ability to independently run active job sites
  • Hands-on construction knowledge with strong practical problem-solving skills
  • High standards for workmanship, safety, and site organization
  • Ability to read and interpret detailed construction drawings and specifications
  • Strong field leadership presence with clear and direct communication
  • Comfortable managing multiple concurrent projects
  • Basic proficiency with mobile devices for communication, site photos, and reporting
