Title:
BSA CIAM (Customer Identity and Access Management)

Location:
Toronto, ON (Hybrid- 3/4 days onsite)

Must-Have Skills:

  • Strong understanding of core concepts, frameworks, and tools.
  • Expertise in documenting, and analyzing business and technical requirements.
  • Ability to translate business needs into functional specifications.
  • Experience with Agile methodologies and tools like Jira or Confluence.
  • Understanding of multi-factor authentication (MFA) and single sign-on (SSO),SAML,OIDC.
  • Knowledge of security standards.
  • Ability to work with APIs and understand RESTful services.
  • Basic understanding of application architecture and integration patterns.
  • Strong communication skills to work with cross-functional teams, including business, engineering, and security teams.
  • Experience in facilitating workshops and discussions.
  • Ability to identify gaps in current solutions and propose improvements.
  • Analytical mindset to troubleshoot issues and optimize processes.

Good-to-Have Skills:

  • Hands-on experience with CIAM platforms like Ping Identity, ForgeRock, or Oauth.
  • Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and their identity services.
  • Understanding of CI/CD pipelines and how CIAM integrates with DevOps workflows.
  • Awareness of user-centric design principles to enhance customer onboarding and authentication flows.
  • Knowledge of Zero Trust architecture and adaptive authentication.
  • Familiarity with fraud detection and risk-based authentication.
  • Basic knowledge of scripting languages (e.g., Python, JavaScript) for automation or integration tasks.
  • Ability to analyze user behavior and CIAM metrics to improve system performance.
  • Understanding of CIAM use cases in specific industries
  • Relevant certifications such as Certified Identity and Access Manager (CIAM), CISSP, or certifications from CIAM tool vendors.
