At Petfinity (Calgary's one-stop shop for pet boarding, daycare, grooming, swimming, retail, rehab, and even a pet café), Petzoic Vet Hospital (advanced veterinary care for all species), and our charitable arm, the Petfinity Foundation, we've built something special. We're growing quickly—but we're still one of Calgary's best-kept secrets. Now we're ready to amplify our story and bring more people into our community.

That's where you come in. As our Social Media & Community Engagement Lead, you won't just manage platforms—you'll be the voice that connects pet parents, builds relationships, and turns everyday magic into meaningful impact. This is your chance to shape how thousands of Calgarians experience and connect with us.

What You'll Do

Social Media & Content

• Lead our presence across Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, and LinkedIn, using trends and insights to spark engagement
• Design and deliver seasonal and ongoing campaigns that grow awareness and loyalty
• Capture moments (or coordinate with others to do so) and transform them into stories that inspire, educate, and delight
• Collaborate with our marketing team to align content with bigger goals and initiatives

Community Engagement

• Be the heartbeat of our online community—responding quickly, warmly, and thoughtfully to DMs, comments, and tags
• Join the conversations in Calgary's pet groups, rescue pages, and meetup communities, always representing our values
• Build strong, lasting relationships with influencers, rescues, brands, and partners who share our love of animals

Events & Promotions

• Help plan, promote, and participate in on-site and off-site events—from vendor shows to festivals
• Share the excitement before, during, and after events so the energy lives online as much as it does in person

Analytics & Accountability

• Turn numbers into insights—tracking engagement, audience growth, and reach, then sharing clear, actionable reports
• Use what you learn to refine strategy, always focused on authentic growth first and small, strategic boosts when needed

You Are

• Naturally detail-focused; spelling and grammar are second nature because you care about clear communication
• A professional yet friendly communicator who builds trust quickly, both online and in person
• Organized and self-disciplined—you bring structure and consistency even in a fast-moving environment
• Passionate about trends and creative expression; you love staying ahead of what's happening in social media and making it your own
• Confident in guiding and encouraging teammates who may be less comfortable with content creation

Bonus Points If You Have:

• 2+ years in social media, content creation, or community engagement
• Experience coordinating or promoting events
• A portfolio or examples of accounts you've helped grow
• Pet care, veterinary, or rescue experience
