Overview

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Lead Hand to oversee construction projects and coordinate daily activities on-site. The ideal candidate will possess strong supervisor skills, technical knowledge of construction processes, and proficiency with industry-standard software. This role offers an opportunity to lead teams, ensure quality standards, and contribute to successful project completion in a dynamic construction environment.

Duties

  • Supervise and coordinate daily construction activities, ensuring adherence to project schedules and safety protocols
  • Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and construction drawings to guide team tasks
  • Utilize construction management - project tracking, documentation, and reporting.
  • Oversee quality control measures to meet project specifications and industry standards
  • Assist in budgeting, cost estimation, and resource allocation for ongoing projects
  • Monitor work progress, identify potential issues, and implement solutions promptly
  • Collaborate with project managers, subcontractors, and clients to facilitate effective communication
  • Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policies at all times

Skills

  • Proven supervising experience in the construction industry with strong leadership capabilities.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and construction estimating documents
  • Knowledge of quality control procedures and construction safety standards
  • Strong understanding of budgeting processes within construction projects.
  • Excellent communication skills for coordinating teams and liaising with stakeholders
  • Familiarity with construction schematics and technical drawings is highly desirable
