Job Summary

We are seeking a motivated and experienced Driver with a minimum of One year of commercial driving experience and a valid driving letter for Long Haul. Duties

  • Safely operate a range of commercial vehicles such as box trucks, dump trucks, tractor-trailers, limousines, shuttle buses, and heavy equipment including forklifts and tanker trucks.
  • Load and unload cargo efficiently while adhering to safety protocols to prevent damage or accidents.
  • Transport goods, passengers, or equipment across designated routes with punctuality and precision.
  • Conduct pre-trip inspections on vehicles to ensure proper functioning of brakes, lights, tires, and other essential systems; report any mechanical issues promptly.
  • Maintain accurate logs of driving hours, deliveries, pickups, and vehicle maintenance records.
  • Follow all traffic laws, company policies, and safety procedures at all times during operations.
  • Communicate effectively with dispatchers, clients, and team members regarding schedules or any issues encountered during routes.
  • Assist with warehouse operations when necessary by moving goods using pallet jacks or forklifts within the facility.
  • Support special transportation needs such as heavy haul loads or yard jockey duties as required.

Skills

  • Proven experience in commercial driving with at least one year of verified driving history.
  • Valid driving license with a clean record; possession of a valid driving letter is mandatory.
  • Strong knowledge of vehicle operation including manual transmissions, flatbeds, tow trucks, and heavy equipment operation.
  • Familiarity with various types of commercial vehicles such as box trucks, limousines, school buses, tractor-trailers, freight trucks, and tanker trucks.
  • Mechanical aptitude for basic troubleshooting and routine maintenance checks on vehicles.
  • Excellent route planning skills with an emphasis on safety and efficiency in route driving scenarios.
  • Ability to load & unload cargo safely using tools like pallet jacks or forklifts; warehouse experience is a plus.
  • Good communication skills for clear interactions with team members and clients.
  • Physical ability to handle moving heavy loads or equipment as needed; capable of standing or walking for extended periods during shifts.
  • Knowledge of safety regulations related to heavy haul operations and heavy equipment handling.
