Job description

We have exciting opportunities for ambitious structural engineers (P.Eng.) with 5 years of local experience in designing and administration of concrete and steel structures (temporary and permanent) required for water and wastewater infrastructure including watermains, sewers, treatment facilities, storage facilities and other related municipal infrastructure.

In these positions, you'll be leading the planning and design of temporary and permanent structures related to water and wastewater infrastructure projects from our Newmarket Office, supporting the delivery of local government projects across the Greater Toronto Area, as well as working closely with our internal teams on large commercial/residential subdivision projects. You will have a key focus on successful project delivery and support the mentoring and coaching of junior staff in the team.

What will you bring?

  • A minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in water and wastewater structural engineering projects (pumping stations, treatment plants, underground chambers, temporary excavations)
  • Experience in industrial and/or commercial building structural engineering (concrete and steel) is added advantage
  • Trenchless designs of watermains/sewers (micro-tunnelling, HDD, pipe rehabilitation) will be advantageous
  • Strong structural design skills and an proficient in SAP 2000 software
  • Licensed (P.Eng,) to practice structural engineering in Ontario.
  • Project management experience, with a drive to go above and beyond our clients' expectations
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
