Automation Technician/Engineer

Job description
We have exciting opportunities for ambitious automation technicians/engineers with 5 years of local experience implementing, troubleshooting, and maintaining all automation equipment including, robotics and controls programming.
In these positions, you'll be leading the planning and implementing related automation and control projects from our Newmarket Office, supporting the delivery of local government projects and private industrial projects across the Greater Toronto Area, as well as working closely with our internal teams on large water and wastewater projects. You will have a key focus on successful project delivery and support the mentoring and coaching of junior staff in the team.
What will you bring?
- Custom control panel fabrication and installation experience
- PLC, robot and HMI programming, implementation and troubleshooting
- Preventative maintenance of production and support equipment
- Repair of equipment
- Design, verification and maintenance of electrical schematics
- Assist in setting up, maintaining programming, electrical components and schematic standards
- Assist in proper maintenance of all programming software, application files and programming hardware
- Certified electrician
- Licensed (P.Eng,) to practice electrical engineering in Ontario is a bonus.
- Project management experience, with a drive to go above and beyond our clients' expectations
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- A team player with a positive attitude.
