TYCROP is looking for a Parts Making Supervisor to join our team in the Fraser Valley.

The Supervisor plans and oversees the efficient execution of Parts Making operations, monitors staffing levels, and provides ongoing leadership and mentorship to their team. This position requires strong budgetary and strategic planning skills and a keen eye for continuous improvement.

Roles & Responsibilities:

  • Manage daily operations, ensuring production, quality and safety standards are met and objectives achieved
  • Ensures that Safe Work Practices are followed at all times, is an absolute safety ambassador – leads by example, and identifies safety training requirements
  • Displays the desire to understand all standard works and associated tools
  • Responsible for recruitment, hiring, terminations and performance management
  • Responsible for appropriate staff and skill levels to meet requirements of the department, using the skills matrix and facilitating training for their staff
  • Develop and implement continuous improvement initiatives throughout the group to reduce costs, maximize production, and increase efficiency
  • Manage the morale in the team by setting and demonstrating a strong business ethics for dealing with employees, suppliers and customers. Exhibiting excellent interpersonal skills & team building skill
  • Attention to detail, high level of accuracy, and superior organizational skills
  • Lead by example in promoting company values and ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures

Education and Experience:

  • Trade Certification an asset
  • 2+ years of previous experience in metal fabrication and/or operations of a manufacturing facility or equivalent combination of education and experience

Specific Skills:

  • Excellent communication skills, a leadership aptitude and team building skills
  • Computers Skills – Proficiency in MS Office suite
  • Time management skills; establish work priorities; ensure deadlines are met
  • Safety Procedure Adherence
  • Problem solving; decision making; critical thinking, attention to detail, high level of accuracy, and superior organizational skills
  • Flexible and willing to adapt to different project requirements
