Schedule: Weekends (10am-5pm), Weekdays (8pm-12am)

Average Hours: 10-20 hours

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform stripping, buffing, waxing, and refinishing of resilient and hard-surface flooring.
  • Inspect floor conditions and determine the appropriate products, equipment, and methods.
  • Prepare work areas by securing spaces, setting up equipment, and following required safety protocols.
  • Operate floorcare machinery, including auto-scrubbers, burnishers, and stripping equipment.
  • Ensure completion of all tasks according to schedule and to the company's quality standards.
  • Maintain equipment in good working order and report deficiencies or service needs.
  • Communicate professionally with clients and supervisors regarding work performed and site requirements.
  • Adhere to all health and safety procedures, including proper handling of chemicals and PPE use.

Qualifications

  • Experience in floor stripping, buffing, and waxing is preferred.
  • Ability to operate commercial floorcare equipment safely and effectively.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality work.
  • Reliability, punctuality, and the ability to work independently or in small teams.
  • Valid driver's licence and reliable transportation to travel between client sites.
  • Ability to lift and move equipment and supplies as required.
