About Us:

Soare Contracting is a family-run roofing company specializing in high-quality metal roofing and cladding systems. We take pride in craftsmanship, safety, and building lasting relationships with our clients. As we continue to grow, we're looking for a skilled and reliable Sheet Metal Foreman to lead a roofing crew on residential and commercial projects.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead and coordinate a team of 3-4 people on mostly residential metal roofing projects
  • Assist with hands-on installation
  • Communicate with customers and builders
  • Plan and organize daily jobsite activities to ensure efficiency and quality
  • Maintain safety standards
  • Read and interpret shop drawings and specifications
  • Track materials, hours, and progress for reporting and billing

Requirements:

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in metal roofing or architectural sheet metal
  • Strong people skills and ability to deal effectively with customers and builders
  • Proven leadership or foreman experience
  • Strong understanding of hidden fastener flashing details, trims, and panel systems (standing seam, snap lock, etc.)
  • Ability to read and interpret construction drawings
  • Valid driver's license and ability to drive a trailer
  • Commitment to safety and quality workmanship

Assets (not required):

  • Red Seal Sheet Metal Worker or Roofing ticket
  • Fall Protection, First Aid, or WHMIS certification
  • Experience with copper, zinc, or custom metal fabrication
