The Coughy shop is a locally owned cannabis shop, being the first to offer complimentary coffee with each purchase, and we are looking to add some amazing employees to our team We are currently hiring a variety of budtender positions that include: part-time, full-time, team leaders and some casual positions - with the opportunity to grow within our company.

Budtender Responsibilities:

  • Advising guests on cannabis products based on their preference and budget
  • Knowledge of cannabis products on our menu and the ability to learn
  • Processing customers' payments using our Point of Sale (POS) system
  • Educating customers on the safe use of their selected cannabis products
  • Educating customers on applicable laws and regulations regarding consumption in Saskatchewan
  • Checking customers' legal non-expired identification to verify that they are of legal age
  • Taking inventory of cannabis products and ensuring that the sales floor is adequately stocked
  • Ensuring all SLGA cannabis regulations are followed at all times
  • Ensuring that the store cleaned and well-organized at all times
  • Other duties as required

Budtender Requirements:

  • Must be at least 19 years old or over
  • Cannabis Retail Experience
  • Cannasell Certificate (available through Tourism Saskatchewan)
  • Passionate about cannabis with the willing to learn
  • Working knowledge of cannabis strains and products
  • Proficiency in cash handling and customer service
  • Reliable and punctual
  • Strong communication skills, time management and problem-solving skills
  • Organizational skills
