Overview

We are seeking a dynamic and customer-focused Sales Associate to join our retail team. In the sales of major Appliance Brands, Mattresses, and over the counter parts sales. Hourly wage plus manufacture spiffs and instore commissions. The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication skills, a passion for technology products, and the ability to provide exceptional customer service. This role offers an exciting opportunity to engage with customers, demonstrate products, and contribute to the overall success of our store. Bilingual or multilingual skills are highly valued to better serve our diverse clientele. The Sales Associate will play a vital role in creating a welcoming shopping environment and driving sales through effective merchandising and upselling techniques.

Duties

  • Greet customers warmly and assist them with their shopping needs
  • Conduct product demonstrations and explain features to customers
  • Assist customers in selecting products that meet their needs, providing knowledgeable advice on technology and retail items
  • Operate POS systems for transactions, including cash handling and processing payments accurately
  • Maintain organized merchandise displays and ensure products are well-stocked and visually appealing
  • Upsell complementary products and promote ongoing promotions or sales
  • Manage customer inquiries via phone or in person with professionalism and courtesy
  • Perform cashiering duties including processing returns, exchanges, and refunds efficiently
  • Keep track of inventory levels and assist with merchandising efforts
  • Support team members in achieving sales goals through collaborative efforts

Requirements

  • Proven experience in retail sales, preferably in technology or related fields
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written; bilingual or multilingual abilities are a plus
  • Knowledge of POS systems, cash handling procedures, and basic math skills for transactions
  • Excellent customer service skills with the ability to build rapport quickly
  • Ability to demonstrate products effectively through product demos and technical explanations
  • Strong organizational skills with attention to detail in merchandising and stock management
  • Time management skills to prioritize tasks during busy periods
  • Professional phone etiquette for handling inquiries professionally over the phone
  • Ability to upsell products tactfully to enhance customer experience and increase sales volume
  • Flexibility to work varied shifts as needed; previous experience in retail sales is preferred but not required

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: From $20.00 per hour

Expected hours: No less than 36 per week
