Job Summary

We are seeking a dynamic and customer-focused Sales Associate to join our retail team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for engaging with customers and providing exceptional service to enhance the shopping experience. This role offers an opportunity to develop sales skills in a fast-paced environment while contributing to the overall success of our store.

Duties

  • Greet customers warmly and assist them in locating products or services.
  • Engage in upselling techniques to maximize sales opportunities.
  • Operate POS systems accurately for transactions, including cash handling and processing payments.
  • Maintain merchandising standards by organizing displays and ensuring product availability.
  • Provide excellent customer service by addressing inquiries, resolving issues, and ensuring customer satisfaction.
  • Manage time effectively to serve multiple customers efficiently during busy periods.
  • Follow phone etiquette standards when handling inbound or outbound calls related to sales or customer inquiries.
  • Assist with inventory management and stock replenishment as needed.

Skills

  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to connect with diverse customers.
  • Strong organizational skills to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Basic math skills for cash handling, POS operations, and transaction accuracy.
  • Experience in jewellery retail sales and merchandising is preferred.
  • Customer service orientation with a friendly and professional demeanor.
  • Time management skills to prioritize tasks efficiently during shifts.
  • Knowledge of phone etiquette for professional communication over the phone or via digital channels.
  • Ability to upsell products tactfully while maintaining a positive shopping experience. This position offers an engaging environment where your interpersonal skills and sales expertise can thrive while contributing meaningfully to our team's success.

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $19.00-$21.00 per hour

Expected hours: 16 – 24 per week
