About Us

URG Graphics Inc. is a Rotogravure cylinder engraving company experiencing significant growth. We work with customers across North America and are looking for a detail-oriented, customer-focused Prepress professional to join our Graphics Department.

This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working directly with customers and ensuring artwork is production-ready.

Key Responsibilities

  • Review and process incoming customer artwork files for Rotogravure and/or Flexo production
  • Ensure PDFs and supplied files are accurate, complete, and ready for production
  • Communicate directly with customers regarding file corrections, approvals, and timelines
  • Coordinate the proof approval process internally and externally
  • Work closely with Production and the Graphics team to support engraving and job preparation
  • Troubleshoot prepress and file issues (color, trapping, resolution, fonts, dielines, etc.)
  • Maintain organized job folders and follow internal workflows

Qualifications / Skills

  • Must have prepress experience in either Rotogravure or Flexographic printing
  • Strong understanding of print-ready file setup and quality control
  • Strong communication skills - comfortable speaking with customers and explaining file issues clearly
  • Experience with step & repeat, distortions, and file adjustments for print
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple jobs at once
  • Familiarity with ESKO is an asset
  • Proficient with Mac-based workflows and Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, Photoshop, Acrobat)
