Job Overview

We are seeking a dependable, caring and organized individual to join our team as a Food Service Worker/Floater, supporting both meal preparation and classroom coverage.

The Childcare Food Service Worker/Floater plays a dual role: preparing snack and lunches, in accordance with all health and safety guidelines and regulations to prevent food borne illnesses, while maintaining a clean and safe environment and supporting classroom teachers as needed. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys both behind the scenes and engaging with children.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare snacks and lunches
  • Maintain a clean, organized and safe kitchen environment following all health and safety guidelines
  • Manage kitchen inventory
  • Keep accurate food records

Some duties include but limited to:

  • Keeping areas of the centre clean
  • Vacuum carpets
  • Collecting garbage(at the end of the day)

Requirements

  • Vulnerable Sector Check
  • First Aid/CPR Level C
  • Food Handlers Certificate
  • Current immunizations

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: $21.00 per hour
