Position Overview and Impact:
Smart Circle is seeking a detail-oriented Payroll Compliance Auditor to review third-party vendor payrolls for accuracy and regulatory compliance, while identifying patterns that signal potential risks or opportunities for improvement.
In this role, you'll exercise discretion, critical thinking, and independent judgment to deliver insights that reinforce organizational integrity and drive operational excellence. This position offers the chance to directly influence compliance processes and contribute to a collaborative, high-performing team.
What You'll Do:
- Conduct detailed payroll audits of third-party vendors
- Assess compliance with applicable wage/hour regulations and identify patterns of non-compliance or areas of risk
- Apply discretion and independent judgment when evaluating findings
- Record audit results and insights into Salesforce
- Perform additional duties as assigned to support broader compliance initiatives
Experience, Skills and Qualifications:
- Minimum 2 years of experience in payroll or accounting
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills; proficiency in Excel and Outlook required
- Experience with Salesforce is a plus
- Strong work ethic and the ability to proactively make recommendations to enhance auditing processes
- Demonstrated diligence, strong organizational skills, and the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously
- Ability to work independently and thrive in an environment that requires accuracy, accountability, and sound judgment
