Payroll Administrator

Smiles First Corporation, is a growing organization committed to accuracy, compliance, and exceptional employee experience. We are currently seeking a skilled Payroll Associate with strong ADP expertise and a solid understanding of Canadian payroll regulations to join our team.
The Payroll Associate will support the end-to-end payroll process, ensuring employees are paid accurately and on time. The ideal candidate is highly detail-oriented, experienced with ADP, and confident handling e-filing, year-end processing, and statutory compliance across multiple provinces.
Key Responsibilities
- Process bi-weekly/monthly payroll using ADP Workforce Now
- Ensure accurate calculation of hours, overtime, vacation, statutory holiday pay, and taxable benefits.
- Maintain compliance with federal and provincial employment standards and Canadian payroll legislation.
- Prepare and complete year-end filings including T4s, T4As, etcand annual reconciliations.
- Manage electronic filing of payroll remittances, ROEs, and government submissions.
- Troubleshoot ADP payroll issues and support system updates or configuration changes.
- Liaise with Government agencies about employee filing and responsibilities of employer
- Prepare payroll reports and assist with reconciliations and audits.
- Provide timely support to employees regarding pay, taxes, deductions, and ADP-related inquiries.
- Maintain accurate payroll records and reports for audit and reconciliation purposes
What You Bring
- 1–4 years of payroll processing experience in Canada.
- Strong proficiency with ADP Workforce Now and any accounting software
- Solid understanding ofCanadian payroll regulations, CRA requirements, and provincial standards.
- Experience with year-end processing and e-filing.
- High attention to detail, accuracy, and confidentiality.
- Strong Excel and reporting skills.
- PCP or CPM certification (completed or in progress) is considered an asset.
