Beachcombers Academy is seeking an education assistant who is caring and compassionate.

This position is for 4 days per week, Tuesday through Friday working in primary school. There is a one week spring break, and the school year ends third week of June.

We are a unique rural independent school and preschool with a nature-inspired curriculum. Beachcombers offers staff a positive and supportive work place, ocean-view classrooms and class sizes that are 16 students per class for main academics. Beachcombers Academy and Little Oysters Preschool is a warm and joyful school.

Successful applicants will have the necessary dedication and enthusiasm to support a small rural school. We are seeking an individual with the following qualities:

Requirements:

· Human Services Certificate or Early Childhood Educator Certification or equivalent experience; Autism (POPARD) Training (can be secured after employment starts).

· Be flexible with a good sense of humour.

· Dedicated to fostering a warm and supportive learning environment.

· Ability to be kind and supportive, yet set appropriate boundaries.

· Committed to ongoing positive and compassionate communication with students, staff and parents.
