Job Overview

We are seeking a friendly and professional Host/Host to join our hospitality team. The successful candidate will be the first point of contact for guests, ensuring they receive a warm welcome and a memorable experience. This role involves managing reservations, seating guests, and providing excellent guest services in a lively dining environment. Prior experience in restaurant or hospitality settings is advantageous, but a positive attitude and strong communication skills are essential. The ideal candidate will be organised, courteous, and able to handle multiple tasks efficiently.

Responsibilities

  • Greeting guests warmly upon arrival and managing their seating arrangements
  • Managing reservations and waitlists efficiently using the booking system
  • Providing guests with menus and answering any initial questions about the establishment
  • Maintaining a clean and organised reception area to ensure a welcoming atmosphere
  • Assisting with guest enquiries both in person and over the phone using professional phone etiquette
  • Coordinating with the service team to ensure smooth flow of service during busy periods
  • Handling guest complaints or concerns politely and effectively to ensure satisfaction
  • Supporting the team with general duties as required to uphold high standards of guest service

Qualifications

  • Previous experience in restaurant or hospitality environments is preferred but not essential
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Excellent organisational skills with the ability to prioritise tasks effectively
  • Experience in guest services or serving is desirable
  • Familiarity with hotel or restaurant reservation systems is a plus
  • Ability to maintain professionalism and courtesy at all times, including on the phone
  • A friendly demeanour with a genuine passion for delivering outstanding customer service

Pay: $17.20-$18.00 per hour
