We are hiring Are you an experienced Source to Contract (S2C) professional with a background in Supply Chain? Do you focus on high value, high complexity, high risk, and strategic initiatives?This is an opportunity to showcase your skills and hit the ground running In this dynamic team you will negotiate and manage the lifecycle of Maintenance, Engineering, Construction and Support Services (MECS) contracts and build strong relationships with the business and suppliers.
Minimum Requirements:
- A Bachelor's degree in Business or Supply Chain
- 5-10 years of related professional experience and/or a combination of commercial and technical work experience
- Experience in contracts management, category management, strategic sourcing, and/or supply chain operations focused on Maintenance, Engineering, Construction and Support Services scope
- A deep understanding of contracting and commercial concepts and processes, coupled with strong negotiation skills and the ability to lead commercial and legal terms and conditions negotiations
- The ability to build trust and respectful relationships with suppliers while collaborating on opportunities
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, with the sufficiency to adapt to different audiences, including demonstrated ability to effectively present commercial concepts clearly and concisely
- Strong financial and business acumen and commercial capabilities, ability to lead others in connecting ideas, events and circumstances to identify effective business solutions in a complex environment
- Ability to manage multiple commercial initiatives through effective organization, time management problem solving and prioritization skills
Responsibilities:
- Develop go-to-market strategy, bid evaluation and selection criteria for all levels of complexity, integrating market intelligence from historical supplier performance and contract compliance information
- Evaluate and develop recommendations for the commercial structures of low to medium complexity contracts
- Lead negotiations for material and service contract requirements, including the legal terms and conditions
- Formalize the negotiated arrangement by composing the contract documentation
- Determine contracting requirements to drive value, eliminate cost from the value chain, and motivate strong supplier performance
- Support change management process for contracts; lead contract close-out process and ensure supplier performance feedback is gathered for future reference
- Ensure that commercial and business requirements are met, and supplier performance issues are addressed in a timely manner
Location & Other Key Details:
- This is an office-based role. You will work out of our Calgary head office, located in the Suncor Energy Centre at 150 – 6th Ave S.W.
- Hours of work are a regular 40-hour work week, Monday to Friday
- Our business professional roles follow internal compensation guidelines and the pay band will generally be based years of experience and scope of work
