One of our clients, a major oil and gas company, is currently seeking a Contracts Advisor to join their team.
This role is ideal for a detail-oriented and experienced professional who thrives in a dynamic environment and is passionate about ensuring contractual excellence across the organization. The Contracts Advisor will be responsible for managing the full contract lifecycle, working closely with cross-functional teams to ensure compliance, mitigate risks, and support strategic business objectives.
Key Responsibilities
- Draft, review, and negotiate a variety of contracts including service agreements and supply contracts.
- Ensure all contracts adhere to internal policies, industry standards, and applicable regulations.
- Manage contract renewals, amendments, and terminations.
- Collaborate with legal, procurement, and operational teams to resolve contract-related issues.
- Maintain accurate and organized records of all contracts and supporting documentation.
- Provide guidance to internal stakeholders on contract processes and best practices.
- Conduct risk assessments and develop mitigation strategies for contract-related risks.
- Monitor contract performance and ensure compliance with agreed terms.
- Resolve disputes and issues efficiently and effectively.
- Stay informed on changes in laws and regulations impacting contracts and procurement.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Law, or a related field.
- 8–10 years of experience in contract management or a related discipline.
- Strong understanding of contract law and industry standards.
- Excellent negotiation and communication skills.
- Proficiency in contract management software and tools.
- High attention to detail and strong organizational capabilities.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
- Knowledge of regulatory and compliance requirements in the industry.
