Job DescriptionWhat would you be doing?
Oversee all labour relations, human resources functions, and workforce management, including:
- Ensure adherence to collective agreements, manage grievances and arbitration, and participate in collective bargaining negotiations.
- Build strong relationships with unions, shop stewards, client HR/LR teams, and internal leadership to maintain open communication and collaboration.
- Provide guidance on employee relations, conflict resolution, policy interpretation, and administer HR programs including return-to-work and harassment investigations.
- Coordinate workforce requirements with operations, analyze collective agreement costs (wages, schedules, benefits), and recommend cost-saving strategies.
- Complete client and corporate reporting requirements, support HR projects, monitor industry trends, and represent the company at industry and committee events.

- Strong understanding of Labour Codes and Employment Standards across BC, Alberta, Saskatchewan, and Ontario, with experience in collective agreement administration, interpretation, and negotiation.
- Proven ability to build strong relationships with teams and clients, coupled with excellent negotiating and change management skills.
- Flexible in managing changing priorities with high tolerance for ambiguity; demonstrates personal leadership and strong business acumen.
- Bachelor's degree or related diploma preferred; minimum 8 years of combined HR and Labour Relations experience, including unionized environments (ABTU or CLAC).
- Experience in Industrial Services, Construction, and Maintenance sectors, with exposure to OH&S compliance and labour relations practices.
