**Position: Environmental Services Attendant

Department: Environmental Services
Qualifications
Certification/Experience/Knowledge:**

  • Grade 12 Graduate or equivalent required
  • Must demonstrate ability to respond to all Codes (Red, White, etc)
  • Completion of the Ontario Health Care Housekeepers Association Environmental Services Course for Front Line Staff an asset

Skills/Abilities
:

  • Ability to clean the physical environment
  • Ability to push/pull carts (1.5 kg to 10 kg force) and lift 18kg
  • Must be willing and prepared to operate all housekeeping related equipment including automatic floor scrubber, vacuum and steam cleaner.
  • Ability to perform the physical demands of the position including continuous/frequent: walking, bending, pushing, pulling, lifting (up to 18 kg), twisting and the ability to climb ladders as required.
  • Must be able to work with minimal supervision
  • Good organizational, interpersonal and communication skills required
  • Must be available for scheduled shifts and call-ins
  • Good attendance and work record required
  • Must demonstrate commitment to ensure your safety, the safety of fellow workers, patients volunteers and visitors
  • Must support and contribute to a culture of safety and prevention of adverse health events in this organization
  • Bilingualism (Advanced level English/French) is an asset
