Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Automotive Mechanic to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in automotive repair, maintenance, and diagnostics, with the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment. This role involves performing repairs, troubleshooting issues, and ensuring vehicles are maintained to the highest standards. Prior dealership experience and mechanical knowledge are highly valued. Responsibilities

  • Diagnose and repair a variety of automotive issues using hand tools, power tools, and schematics
  • Perform routine maintenance such as oil changes, tire rotations, brake inspections, and fluid replacements
  • Conduct complex repairs including engine overhauls, transmission work, and welding tasks
  • Utilize automotive repair manuals and schematics to accurately identify problems and solutions
  • Assemble and disassemble vehicle components with precision and attention to detail
  • Ensure all repairs meet safety standards and manufacturer specifications
  • Maintain a clean and organized workspace, adhering to safety protocols
  • Provide excellent customer service by explaining repairs and recommendations clearly to clients

Skills

  • Proven mechanic experience with a solid understanding of automotive systems
  • Dealership experience preferred but not required
  • Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, and welding equipment
  • Strong mechanical knowledge of engines, transmissions, brakes, and electrical systems
  • Ability to read schematics and technical manuals accurately
  • Capable of heavy lifting and working on vehicles in various positions for extended periods
  • Excellent problem-solving skills with attention to detail
  • Good communication skills for effective customer interaction
  • Knowledge of maintenance procedures and vehicle assembly processes

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent, Fixed term contract

Contract length: 12 months

Pay: $23.00-$39.51 per hour
