Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Automotive Mechanic to join our service team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in automotive repair, maintenance, and diagnostics, with the ability to perform repairs efficiently and accurately. This role involves working on a variety of vehicle makes and models, utilizing both hand and power tools, and adhering to safety standards. Experience in dealership settings and proficiency with schematics are highly valued. The position offers opportunities for professional growth within a dynamic automotive environment.

Responsibilities

  • Diagnose and repair a wide range of automotive issues, including engine, transmission, alignments, brake, and electrical systems
  • Perform routine maintenance such as oil changes, tire rotations, and fluid replacements
  • Utilize hand tools, power tools, and welding equipment to complete repairs and modifications
  • Work with service advisors
  • Read and interpret technical schematics, repair manuals, and diagrams to accurately identify problems
  • Conduct vehicle inspections to ensure safety and compliance with industry standards
  • Assist in the assembly of vehicle components during repairs or upgrades
  • Maintain a clean and organized workspace following safety protocols
  • Provide excellent customer service by explaining repairs needed and estimated timelines

Qualifications

  • 3+ years of proven experience as an Automotive Mechanic, preferably in a dealership or similar setting
  • Red Seal Certification
  • Strong diagnostic skills
  • Valid Canadian Drivers License
  • Strong mechanical knowledge of automotive systems and components
  • Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and schematics
  • Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently
  • Experience with automotive repair, maintenance, and diagnostics
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
  • Good customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with clients
