Job DescriptionAECOM is seeking a Senior BIM Specialist to join our team. This position is based on-site, out of Mississauga.
We are seeking professionals to join our team to help us build one of the most advanced, sustainable and passenger-friendly airports in the world.
Responsibilities:
- Coordinate BIM requirements across multiple disciplines, including Architecture, MEP, Data, Structure, and Asset Management, while planning standard development.
- Support the establishment of governance and processes for BIM implementation throughout the program.
- Organize and lead BIM coordination workshops.
- Assist in developing model templates encompassing structural, interior, and exterior architectural elements, as well as MEP systems for in-house projects. Facilitate laser scanning of existing spaces when necessary.
Minimum Requirements.
- University Degree + 4 years of experience with technical construction drawings and/or documents.
Demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education may be considered, for example a College Diploma + additional years of experience.
Preferred Requirements:
- Experience working with technical construction drawings and/or documents, experience as a BIM Lead/Supervisor/Manager is a strong asset.
- Proven experience with enterprise-grade document and construction management systems, preferably Bentley ProjectWise, Autodesk Construction Cloud, Maximo, and SharePoint.
- Proficiency in BIM design software, ideally Autodesk Revit.
- Experience with CADD and GIS technologies, such as Bentley MicroStation, Open Roads Designer, and ESRI ArcGIS.
- Strong familiarity with computer hardware and standard office software applications, including Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, Access, Project, PowerPoint, and Visio.
- Excellent stakeholder engagement and communication skills, with the ability to facilitate meetings and workshops for large groups.
