Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Physiotherapy Assistant to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in supporting physiotherapists in delivering high-quality patient care. This position is essential for ensuring that patients receive effective treatment and rehabilitation services in the clinic setting.

Responsibilities

  • Assist physiotherapists in implementing treatment plans for patients recovering from injuries or surgeries.
  • Help patients with exercises and mobility training, ensuring proper techniques are followed.
  • Maintain accurate records of patient progress and report any changes to the supervising physiotherapist.
  • Prepare treatment areas and equipment, ensuring cleanliness and readiness for patient use.
  • Educate patients on home exercise programs and assist with their understanding of the rehabilitation process.
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive patient care.

Skills

  • Previous experience in a hospital or community clinic environment is highly desirable.
  • Familiarity with acute care settings and the specific needs of patients in recovery.
  • Strong patient care skills, demonstrating empathy and effective communication with patients and their families.
  • Knowledge of medical terminology to facilitate clear communication within the healthcare team.
