Job Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Physiotherapy Assistant to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will support physiotherapists in delivering high-quality patient care in an outpatient Orthopaedic setting. This role involves assisting patients with therapeutic exercises, maintaining equipment, and ensuring a safe and supportive environment for recovery. The role may also include front desk and administrative tasks as needed. All training will be provided.

Responsibilities

  • Assist physiotherapists in implementing treatment plans for patients.
  • Help patients perform exercises and activities to improve mobility and strength.
  • Monitor patient progress and report any changes to the physiotherapist.
  • Applying various Physiotherapy modalities (ie. IFC, TENS, Laser, Traction, etc.).
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of treatment areas and equipment.
  • Educate patients on proper techniques for exercises and activities.
  • Document patient care activities accurately using medical terminology.
  • Collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive patient care.

Experience

  • Previous Physiotherapy experience is preferred but not mandatory.
  • Familiarity with patient care practices and medical terminology is essential.
  • Experience working with diverse patient populations is a plus.
