309A - Electrician - Residential Team Lead

We seek a highly skilled and confident Home Electric Technical Team Lead to join our team. The ideal candidate will be an expert in residential electrical services, including panel changes, service upgrades, EV chargers, generator installations, and knob and tube remediation. This role will require you to split your time between performing electrical installations and supporting the team of residential electricians through technical support.
As a leader, you will oversee quality control, answer questions, ensure code compliance and provide training to ensure work meets Kraun's high standards for safety, customer experience, and craftsmanship. A key aspect of this role is fostering a positive and supportive team culture, where your enthusiasm and outlook inspire the same attitude in your team.
This position requires someone comfortable with software tools, quoting, and collecting payment. The successful candidate is committed to upholding Kraun's reputation for exceptional service in every interaction with homeowners. You will report to the Operations Manager.

Responsibilities
Technical Leadership and Team Development
- Ensure installations meet scope, budget, customer expectations, quality standards, and all relevant codes and regulations
- Support the professional development of team members through coaching, technical guidance, and consistent feedback
- Participate in hiring, onboarding, and performance reviews for team members
- Create and execute tailored training initiatives to promote technical growth, confidence, and job satisfaction
- Support the Operations Manager with field insight
- Educate team members on code updates or changes
Customer Experience & Relationship Management
- Conduct jobsite visits to ensure quality workmanship, effective job progress and customer satisfaction
- Ensure prompt resolution of client concerns; involving the Operations as needed
- Work closely with the Customer Care team to ensure client success
Operational Effectiveness
- Conduct regular job debriefs with electricians and hold team members accountable for productivity
- Recommend inventory and tool purchases to improve jobsite efficiency
- Support the field team in effectively using software to track jobs, document work, and maintain accurate service records; provide training and best practices to maximize system utilization
- Perform hands-on work in an efficient and effective manner
Other Responsibilities
- Demonstrate SPARK Values and represent Kraun with professionalism at all times

- Perform other duties as assigned
Qualifications and Education Requirements
- A valid Ontario 309-A License is required
- Hold a valid G driver's license and maintain a clean driving record
- Pass a background screening and provide a criminal reference check
Experience and Preferred Skills
- Proven work experience as an electrician in the residential service environment is required
- Proven experience managing a team and holding team members accountable for meeting performance targets
- Able to work within a schedule-driven environment, with the ability to meet deadlines and manage work tasks efficiently

Working Environment & Physical Demands
Working conditions include, but are not limited to:
- Outdoor Work: You will be required to work outdoors, where you will be exposed to various weather conditions, such as extreme heat, cold, rain, and wind.
- Height: The job will involve working at heights, such as climbing ladders and scaffolds or working on elevated platforms.
- Confined Spaces: You must work in tight, confined spaces such as crawl spaces, attics, or utility tunnels.
- Lifting and Carrying: The position will require lifting, carrying, and pulling heavy items and equipment weighing over 50 pounds, such as conduit, wiring, tools, and machinery.
- Uneven Terrain: Electricians may need to navigate and work on uneven terrain, including construction sites, unfinished buildings, and outdoor landscapes.
- Physical Demands: The job involves physical exertion and stamina to perform tasks such as bending, stooping, kneeling, standing, and walking flights of stairs for extended periods.
- Noise and Vibrations: The work environment will involve exposure to loud noises from machinery and equipment and vibrations from power tools and heavy machinery.
- Safety Gear: Compliance with safety protocols and wearing appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) such as hard hats, safety glasses, gloves, and steel-toed boots is mandatory.
- Flexible Schedule: Depending on project deadlines and client requirements, the job may require working evenings, weekends, or overtime.
- Teamwork: Collaboration with other individuals, including team members, contractors, and project managers, is essential and requires effective communication and interpersonal skills.
- Travel: Some projects may require travel to different job sites, which may involve longer drives.
- Physical Fitness: Good physical health and fitness are necessary to perform job duties safely and effectively.
- Adherence to Regulations: Compliance with local building codes, electrical codes, safety regulations, and industry standards is mandatory.
