Ameresco Canada has an immediate opening for a Project
Coordinator – Finance and Reporting
to provide financial and administrative support to projects and project managers by managing budgets, coordinating procurement, tracking expenditures, reconciling invoices, and ensuring compliance with financial policies.
Responsibilities:
- Assist with preparing and tracking project budgets and expenditures.
- Collect, consolidate, and process matched and approved documents for payment.
- Reconcile company invoice records and payments with vendor statements.
- Provide project expense information to project managers and teams.
- Monitor and follow up on outstanding approvals or discrepancies in workflows.
- Coordinate and schedule project meetings and appointments.
- Act as a liaison between project managers, departments, and vendors.
- Organize and maintain financial files, reports, and project documentation.
- Ensure timely issuance and approval of purchase orders (POs).
- Prepare reconciliation and month-end closing reports as requested.
- Monitor daily project progress, budgets, and timelines.
- Ensure project transactions comply with established financial policies.
- Provide detailed updates on project progress and financial status to stakeholders.
- Preserve and organize vendor information files.
- Communicate with suppliers to ensure timely delivery of materials.
- Coordinate with the Finance department to initiate and track purchase orders and sub-contract agreements.
- Attend meetings as necessary.
- Assist the project team as necessary, and
- Perform other duties as required.
Minium Qualifications:
- Post Secondary Education in business, engineering, technology, and/or related fields.
- Must have experience in planning, scheduling and/or project coordination for construction projects.
Additional Qualifications:
- Proficiency with MS Project or Primavera.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office.
- Construction and Field experience an asset.
