Area Of Responsibility
Provides program and administrative support to the division, assisting in day-to-day duties. Ensures
effective delivery of programs, services and responds to general inquiries received by the
section/division.
- Respond to customer inquiries/concerns and provide information regarding programs and services, and escalates to appropriate City staff as required
- Provide administrative support as related to the area of work, including filing, minute taking, preparing memos and formatting reports
- Maintain records, documentation, and prepare reports as required
- Assist with data entry and tracking
- Assists and provides support with divisional programs and special events
- Maintain an understanding of department programs and services
- Understand and adhere to Corporate Policies & Procedures, Confidentiality Guidelines, Emergency Procedures and Health and Safety Standards
- Attend meetings/training as required
Selection Criteria
EDUCATION:
- Working towards a degree or diploma in Business Administration, Public Policy or a similar discipline
Other Skills And Assets
- Demonstrated working knowledge of discipline specific principles
- Minimum one year related experience preferred
- Effective customer service skills
- Effective time management and organizational skills
- Intermediate computer skills as related to area of work
