Location: Brass Vixens Queen West (Queen St. West & Bathurst)
Schedule: Part-time (20 hours/week)
Compensation: Hourly pay with optional extended health benefits
Work Environment: Hybrid — a mix of in-studio and remote work
In this role, you'll support our growing community through social media management, content creation, marketing, and cross-team collaboration.
Key Responsibilities
Social Media Management & Strategy
- Develop and execute innovative and effective social media strategies to enhance brand visibility, engagement, and lead generation
- Manage day-to-day operations of social media channels and company website
- Stay current with social media best practices, tools, and trends
- Create and manage paid social ads (Meta and other platforms as needed)
- Respond to comments, messages, and mentions promptly and professionally
Analytics & Optimization
- Monitor and analyze social media performance using analytics tools
- Create regular performance reports and provide insights to optimize strategies
- Track customer engagement, reach, and SEO performance to refine campaign content
Content Creation & Marketing Support
- Create, schedule, and publish engaging content that aligns with our brand voice and marketing objectives
- Collaborate with team members to design and produce multimedia content — including graphics, videos, and written copy for social media, blog posts, and website
- Support the development of content calendars and ensure consistency across all platforms
Collaboration & Campaign Execution
- Work closely with cross-functional teams (design, sales, front desk) to ensure cohesive brand messaging
- Assist in the planning and execution of marketing campaigns, including email marketing, online advertising, and event promotion
- Coordinate and manage marketing projects, timelines, and deliverables
- Conduct market research to identify new opportunities and audience segments
- Support in creating and distributing marketing materials (brochures, promotional content, etc.)
Experience, Skills & Qualifications
- Minimum 1-2 years of experience in social media management, digital marketing, or related field
- Proven experience with social media management tools, analytics platforms, and paid ad creation
- Formal education in marketing, communications, or digital media is an asset, but a strong portfolio and hands-on experience in social media management are equally valued.
- Strong understanding of major social media platforms: Instagram & Threads, TikTok, Facebook, and X (Twitter), including their best practices and algorithms
- Excellent communication skills — able to collaborate effectively with team members across departments and communicate ideas clearly
- Proactive and self-motivated — takes initiative, brings creative ideas forward, and follows through with minimal supervision
- Excellent copywriting skills and ability to craft engaging, on-brand messaging
- Experience managing multiple projects and meeting deadlines in a fast-paced environment
- Proficiency in creating and overseeing visual content (text, image, video) tailored to different platforms
- A creative, adaptable, and detail-oriented mindset
