B.S.L. has been in the machining industry since 1965, primarily serving industrial applications in the Edmonton area.

We are currently recruiting for a CNC Vertical Mill operator/machinist.

Responsibilities:

  • Study job orders and interpret blueprints to determine operations to be performed.
  • Operate machines by setting up and adjusting three chucks & four jaw chucks (where applicable), tools, attachments, collets, bushings, stops and indicating devices
  • Set up and operate machine tools to perform repetitive operations
  • Verify dimensions of parts machined using micrometers, calipers, and other precision measuring instruments.
  • Work with blueprints to produce work pieces conforming to quality standards.
  • Perform routine maintenance on equipment and machinery.
  • Load, unload and move products and materials using basic material handling equipment and by hand, up to 50lbs.

Machine Specifics:

  • Working on a Haas CNC vertical mill.
  • Setup tools, parts and load program
  • Verify safe operation and tolerances of parts being machines

Experience:

  • Minimum 5 years work experience

Schedule:

  • 8 hours, Day shift
  • Overtime available as needed
  • Monday to Friday
  • Weekends if required

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $27.00-$41.00 per hour
