Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced culinary professional to join our team as a Cook. This role involves preparing and serving fried chicken and sides, setting up the batter station, maintaining kitchen cleanliness, managing inventory, and ensuring food safety and quality, working in a fast-paced environment to fulfill customer orders accurately and efficiently.
Responsibilities
- Cook chicken and other menu items according to company standards, including setting up and managing the batter station.
- Keep work areas clean, filter fryers, and maintain equipment, reporting malfunctions as needed.
- Restock food items and supplies, and help with inventory management.
- Adhere to food safety guidelines and ensure food quality, handling ingredients safely.
- Communicate with team members and management to ensure smooth operations.
- Support catering events and special meal services as needed
- Stock supplies, monitor inventory levels, and assist with ordering ingredients or materials
- Collaborate with team members to deliver exceptional food service experiences
Skills
- At least 1 year of previous experience as a Cook, Line cook or Kitchen Assistant
- Familiarity with the food industry, including restaurant or kitchen experience
- Skilled in food preparation, cooking, and meal assembly
- Strong communication skills in English
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
- Strong knowledge of food safety protocols and sanitation standards
- Ability to handle food safely and efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail in food presentation and service
- Ability to work collaboratively within a team while maintaining high standards of hygiene and safety
- Must have flexible availability
- Must have a valid Food Handlers Certificate
Location: Toronto, North York
Schedule: Flexible hours, flexibility is manadatory
