Job Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced culinary professional to join our team as a Cook. This role involves preparing and serving fried chicken and sides, setting up the batter station, maintaining kitchen cleanliness, managing inventory, and ensuring food safety and quality, working in a fast-paced environment to fulfill customer orders accurately and efficiently.

Responsibilities

  • Cook chicken and other menu items according to company standards, including setting up and managing the batter station.
  • Keep work areas clean, filter fryers, and maintain equipment, reporting malfunctions as needed.
  • Restock food items and supplies, and help with inventory management.
  • Adhere to food safety guidelines and ensure food quality, handling ingredients safely.
  • Communicate with team members and management to ensure smooth operations.
  • Support catering events and special meal services as needed
  • Stock supplies, monitor inventory levels, and assist with ordering ingredients or materials
  • Collaborate with team members to deliver exceptional food service experiences

Skills

  • At least 1 year of previous experience as a Cook, Line cook or Kitchen Assistant
  • Familiarity with the food industry, including restaurant or kitchen experience
  • Skilled in food preparation, cooking, and meal assembly
  • Strong communication skills in English
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Strong knowledge of food safety protocols and sanitation standards
  • Ability to handle food safely and efficiently in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong organizational skills with attention to detail in food presentation and service
  • Ability to work collaboratively within a team while maintaining high standards of hygiene and safety
  • Must have flexible availability
  • Must have a valid Food Handlers Certificate

Location: Toronto, North York

Schedule: Flexible hours, flexibility is manadatory
