Bakers Narrows Lodge is a tourism-based business that provides memorable guest experiences, from traditional fishing trips to adventure tourism. Our restaurant plays a key role in delivering exceptional hospitality, offering homestyle meals and quality dishes to guests from around the world.

We are looking for a skilled and motivated Line Cook to join our kitchen team for the The ideal candidate is dependable, takes pride in their work, and thrives in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.

Location: Bakers Narrows Lodge Restaurant

Wage: Based on experience + gratuities

Shifts: Day, evening, weekends, some holidays

Employment Type: Full time/Part time

Start Date: December2025/January 2026

Vacancy: 1-2

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and cook menu items according to recipes, specifications, and presentation standards.
  • Maintain a clean, organized and sanitary work station at all times.
  • Follow food safety and health regulations consistently.
  • Assist with inventory management, stock rotation, and kitchen prep duties.
  • Collaborate with other kitchen staff to ensure the smooth daily operations.
  • Adapt to changing menus, dietary requests and guest needs.
  • Support the Kitchen Manager/Head Chef in maintaining quality and consistency in all dishes.

Qualifications:

  • Previous line cook or similar kitchen experience preferred (lodge experience an asset, but not necessary for the right candidate).
  • Strong knowledge of cooking techniques and food safety practices.
  • Ability to work efficiently under pressure in a busy kitchen.
  • Reliable teamwork, communication, and time-management skills.
  • Culinary certification or training is an asset but not required.

Working Conditions:

  • Fast-paced kitchen environment.
  • Shifts may include days, evenings, weekend, and some holidays.
  • Some split shifts during peak season
  • Seasonal employment with potential for year-round opportunities.
