What this role is all about:

The Experience Designer researches, designs, and delivers omnichannel experiences, products, and services that engage members and drive organizational transformation. This role impacts all stages of the design lifecycle, from early concepts and ideation to detailed execution and delivery, all while combining expertise in UX, design, and brand with a strategic understanding of business models and processes.

This role is open to hybrid working arrangements within British Columbia.

What you'll do:

Design Leadership

  • Lead the conception, validation, and prototyping of new solutions.
  • Influence the design aesthetic of experiences impacting thousands of users.
  • Maintain and evolve the Design system.

Research & Strategy

  • Conduct generative and evaluative research (user testing, interviews, focus groups).
  • Synthesize research outcomes into viable product experiences.
  • Plan and facilitate workshops and concept sprints.

Collaboration & Delivery

  • Work with strategy, product, technical teams, and stakeholders to prioritize projects.
  • Build strong relationships with internal and external customers.
  • Act as a trusted advisor and subject matter expert in emerging technology and user journey mapping.

Operational Excellence

  • Support innovative product and service development assignments.
  • Prepare and review reports related to new product/service validation.
  • Ensure project budgets are maximized and adhered to.

What you'll bring:

  • 5–10 years' experience in UX design, preferably in FinTech or financial services.
  • A demonstrable portfolio of work (professional and personal) which showcases the applications you've worked on and includes examples of your storytelling skills, from low-fidelity sketches through to detailed designs
  • Proficient with visual design programs (e.g., Figma).
  • Thorough knowledge of digital user experience trends.
  • Experience with rapid prototyping and testing platforms.
  • Demonstrable portfolio showcasing storytelling and design skills.
  • Experience in storyboarding, persona development, and user journey mapping.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and strategic thinking skills.
  • Proven leadership and problem-solving abilities.

Compensation 

Annual salary range: $92,200 - $115,200.
