We are expanding our front end team and welcome an experienced Dental Receptionist to join us. In this role, you will be the first point of contact for our patients, playing a vital role in ensuring a welcoming and efficient experience while supporting our dental practice's operations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Create a warm, compassionate and welcoming atmosphere for patients
  • Manage phone and email system, directing calls/email appropriately
  • Address patient concerns
  • Manage patients' records ensuring accurate data entry
  • Verify insurance coverage and assist in patient's understanding of their coverage
  • Dental estimates, presentation and scheduling
  • Patient follow-up on treatment and hygiene
  • Managing doctor and hygiene schedules to ensure a full and productive schedule
  • Send, process and follow up with insurance companies regarding claims and pre-authorizations
  • Processing insurance payments, patient payments

Requirements:

  • Strong knowledge of dental terminology and electronic dental/medical systems
  • Knowledgeable in dental billing and insurance
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Problem solving and critical thinking
  • Comfortable with new computer systems/technology
  • Excellent organizational skills with the ability to multi-task effectively in a fast-paced environment
  • Enjoy working both independently and as a team
  • Experience with Tracker software is an asset
