Responsibilities
- Lead and supervise all hotel departments, including front desk, housekeeping, food and beverage, maintenance, and guest services, fostering a collaborative team environment.
- Oversee daily operations to ensure smooth functioning of the hotel, maintaining high standards of cleanliness, safety, and guest satisfaction.
- Develop and implement strategic plans to maximize revenue through effective revenue management techniques such as dynamic pricing and occupancy strategies.
- Manage budgets meticulously, controlling expenses while optimizing profitability across all departments.
- Ensure exceptional customer service by setting high standards for guest relations, handling escalated issues promptly, and promoting a welcoming atmosphere.
- Oversee human resources functions including hiring, training, performance evaluations, and staff development to build a motivated and skilled team.
- Maintain compliance with all safety regulations, licensing requirements, and hotel policies.
- Utilize multi-line phone systems proficiently to handle guest inquiries with professionalism and courtesy while practicing excellent phone etiquette.
- Conduct night audits to reconcile daily financial transactions accurately and efficiently.
- Foster positive relationships with guests by actively engaging in guest relations initiatives and responding to feedback constructively.
- Coordinate with resort or hotel management teams on special events or promotions to enhance guest experiences.
Requirements
- Proven supervising experience within the hospitality industry or hotel management roles.
- Strong background in hospitality management with comprehensive knowledge of hotel operations including front desk procedures, guest services, housekeeping, maintenance, and food & beverage services.
- Demonstrated expertise in revenue management strategies to optimize occupancy rates and profitability.
- Exceptional customer service skills with the ability to handle challenging situations gracefully.
- Leadership qualities that motivate teams, promote teamwork, and foster a positive work environment.
- Experience in budgeting, financial reporting, and human resources management within a hospitality setting.
- Multilingual or bilingual abilities are highly desirable for effective communication with diverse guests and staff.
- Familiarity with hotel management software systems and multi-line phone systems is preferred.
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail in night audits and operational procedures.
- Hospitality certification or relevant training is advantageous but not mandatory; enthusiasm for continuous learning is essential.
