2025 Insurance, Fall Operational Excellence Intern

Job Description

What will you do?

• Competitive Intelligence research from an operational / processing perspective.
• Updates / creation to Op Excellence / CAS Connect Sites (this includes the development of a new Operational Excellence repository on Connect).
• Support with development/updating of CAS training material for the new CAS Training Hub.
• Support with data collection and analysis including preparation of ad-hoc reports.
• Business readiness support for new initiatives/projects (includes requesting translation, coordination for review, proof-reading).
• Occasional research and data summaries and presentations to senior management and executive leadership.
• Other projects & assignments as required, including projects that require analytical, research, strategic and problem-solving skills.

What do you need to succeed?

Must-have

• Working towards a Bachelor or Master's degree in Business Administration, Economics, Engineering, Math & Statistics, Finance, or related field.
• Strong problem solving and analytical skills including statistical and data analysis, interpretation, and presentation.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Excellent verbal communication/writing/presentation skills.
• Proficient with MS Office (WORD, EXCEL, PowerPoint).
• Strong organizational and time management skills.
• Strong attention to detail. 

Nice-to-have

• Experience in the insurance industry
• Bilingual (French/English)
• Experience with dashboarding reporting (tableau, power BI etc)

In order to be eligible for these student positions, you must either: 

• Be returning back to school after the work term end-date; or 
• If you are not returning back to school (i.e. are graduating immediately after the work term), you must require the full work term as a mandatory component in order to graduate successfully
