Benedict Ferguson & Marshall seeks a real estate law associate. Nestled on the shores of the Grand River, our offices serve the community of Haldimand County and the surrounding area. Sharing an office with our sister firm, Marshall Law Group (Litigation), we enjoy a progressive and energetic work environment while maintaining small-town client services. In an age of Zoom meetings, our clients usually prefer to attend in-office and relationships are built over generations. Our real estate practice is primarily busy with residential transactions but includes farms and commercial properties as well. Here is what we are looking for:

  • A fully licensed lawyer in good standing, preferably with 2-5 years of experience in real estate law

  • Able to handle files from open to close independently

  • Experience with purchases, sales, and mortgages.

  • Motivated to work independently, self-motivate, and stay on top of deadlines

  • Works well with others (we have experienced staff who deserve your respect)

  • Experience with wills and estates an asset
