Financial Analyst
in the
Real Estate Development sector
in
North York, Ontario.
The Financial Analyst will play a critical role in supporting the financial planning and analysis function. This role involves providing detailed financial insights, preparing forecasts and budgets, and assisting in strategic decision-making processes. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in finance, exceptional analytical skills, and experience in the real estate development industry.

A Typical Day

  • Conduct detailed financial analysis and modeling to support business decisions
  • Prepare, analyze, and present monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports
  • Assist in the development and management of the annual budget and long-term financial forecasts
  • Monitor and analyze financial performance, identifying trends, variances, and areas of improvement
  • Support the preparation of financial presentations for senior management and stakeholders
  • Conduct market research and competitive analysis to support strategic planning
  • Assist in the coordination, development, and updating written policies and procedures over the financial report process
  • Assist in analyzing costs, pricing, variable contributions, sales results, and the company's actual performance compared to the business plans

Successful Candidates Will Have

  • University degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field
  • Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in financial analysis, preferably in the real estate development industry
  • Strong financial modeling and analytical skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, specifically Excel
  • Knowledge of NewStar/REMS and Yardi considered an asset
  • Experience with PowerQuery and Power BI
  • Ability to manage large sets of data
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills
