We are looking for hands-on experienced dog handlers to join our team. We're offering full-time and part-time positions, but seeking permanent staff. This is a physical and high-paced job that requires a love of all dogs, attention to detail, multi-tasking, keeping calm under pressure, and efficient communication. Our Dog Ranch staff is a dedicated, hard-working team with a passion for the dogs we care for on a professional level. If we know you're ready to commit to the job, we will do our best to assist you in finding housing on the island. Temporary housing may be available on the Dog Ranch property.

Responsibilities:

  • Ensuring the wellness of dogs by administering correct medications and food
  • Maintaining a clean facility for dog's health and safety
  • Observing and recording dog behaviour
  • Using intuitive online software to communicate dog behaviour and reservations
  • Driving off property to pick up and drop off dogs (drivers license and a clean record is required)
  • Social Media skills is a plus

Job Details:

  • Shift times: 7:30 am/8 am - 4:30 pm
  • 1 "night let out" shift a week 7:30 pm - 8:30 pm if you work the day shift.
  • In-house training is provided
  • We're open 365 days a year and stat holidays are our busiest times
  • Pay is competitive for industry standards based on previous job experience
  • Dog care experience IS required.
  • Excellent customer service skills with the ability to interact professionally with clients
  • Strong attention to detail, accuracy, multi-tasking and organization
  • Ability to lift heavy objects
