Director of Marketing & Communications (Canada & United States)

Defining the voice, visibility, and narrative of inclusive work across North America.

Role Overview

The Director of Marketing & Communications leads brand, messaging, and external communications for Enabled Talent across Canada and the United States. This role is responsible for shaping a clear, credible, and accessible brand presence that supports growth, partnerships, and thought leadership across employers, governments, nonprofits, and higher education institutions.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Lead the development and execution of the company's brand strategy, positioning, and narrative across North America

  2. Define and maintain consistent messaging across all channels, including website, campaigns, partnerships, and communications

  3. Oversee public relations, media engagement, and external communications strategy

  4. Lead content strategy, including thought leadership, reports, case studies, and partner storytelling

  5. Ensure accessibility, disability inclusion, and plain-language principles are embedded in all marketing and communications

  6. Support go-to-market initiatives in collaboration with growth, partnerships, and client teams

  7. Develop messaging and materials tailored to employers, governments, nonprofits, and educational institutions

  8. Represent Enabled Talent externally across media, industry events, panels, and ecosystem forums

  9. Partner cross-functionally with leadership, product, and partnerships teams to align narrative with strategy and impact

  10. Monitor brand performance, visibility, and engagement to continuously refine strategy and execution

Background & Relevant Experience


• 3+ years of experience in marketing, communications, brand strategy, or public relations


• Proven experience leading brand and communications initiatives in
Canada and/or the United States


• Strong understanding of B2B, platform, or ecosystem-based marketing models


• Experience working across multiple stakeholder groups, such as employers, governments, nonprofits, or educational institutions


• Demonstrated ability to lead storytelling that is clear, credible, and mission-aligned


• Experience embedding accessibility and inclusion into communications is strongly valued


• Excellent written, verbal, and stakeholder communication skills


• Experience in technology, workforce development, or social impact organizations is an asset
