Pharmacy Assistant
to join our team on a
part-time

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prescription Entry:
    Input and process patient prescriptions into the Propel RX system.
  • Third-Party Billing:
    Ensure accurate billing to third-party insurance providers.
  • Medication Packaging:
    Package medications in compliance with pharmacy standards.
  • Blister Packs:
    Create and prepare blister packs for patients as needed.
  • Inventory Management:
    Order medications for the upcoming day, maintaining optimal stock levels.
  • Patient Interaction:
    Greet and communicate with patients in a professional and friendly manner, offering assistance as required.
  • Cash Register:
    Operate the cash register, process payments, and provide customer receipts.
  • Phone Support:
    Answer incoming phone calls, assisting patients with inquiries, prescription refills, and other pharmacy-related matters.

Qualifications:

  • Previous experience as a Pharmacy Assistant is required.
  • Proficiency with the Propel RX system is an asset (or ability to learn quickly).
  • Strong communication skills with a patient-centered approach.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Detail-oriented, with strong organizational skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
  • High school diploma or equivalent (Pharmacy Assistant certification is a plus).
